AceShowbiz - Gypsy Rose Blanchard has reacted to Sunny Hostin's shady comments about her love life in the latest episode of "The View". In a new interview, Blanchard admitted to feeling surprised to see the co-host turning on her despite treating her nicely when she guested on the talk show previously.

Speaking to TMZ, Blanchard said, "Her comments are weird because she was so nice to me on 'The View,' " referring to her appearance on the daytime talk show back in January. She added, "She was so understanding and sweet and wished me nothing but the best. Everyone was so supportive. I wonder why she turned on me."

During the "Hot Topics" in the Friday, May 3 episode of "The View", the co-hosts discussed Blanchard's relationship with her boyfriend Ken Urker, who was also Blanchard's ex-fiance. "I just don't understand prison love," Hostin said. "I don't understand it. I have successful, beautiful girlfriends that can't get a date."

"She killed her mom," Hostin continued. "I don't know how you then start writing letters to her and then sleep next to her as the husband without one eye open. She killed a loved one. I just don't understand the whole fascination."

Fellow co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, meanwhile, thought that Blanchard needs "to have more time" before she commits to Urker again, adding that Blanchard needed "to adjust to being in the real world." Farah Griffin chimed in, saying that "she's coming into her own and deciding how she wants to be in this world" even though her journey might be messy.

Urker linked up during a prison pen pal program while Blanchard, who was married to Ryan Scott Anderson at the time, was serving time for murdering her mother, Claudine "Dee Dee" Blanchard in 2015. Less than four months after her prison release, Blanchard filed for divorce from Anderson.

Blanchard served eight years for second-degree murder. She convinced then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn, who was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, to stab her mother to death after years of physical and emotional abuse.
