The country star, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, revealed in January that he started training for the 2 Bears 5K, which will take place on May 7 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

AceShowbiz - Jelly Roll couldn't be more proud of himself after shedding unwanted fat. The country star revealed in a new interview that he has lost more than 70 pounds as he prepares to participate in the 2 Bears 5K with comedians Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura in May.

"I'm probably down 70-something pounds," the 39-year-old told PEOPLE. "I've been really kicking a**, man. I'm doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I'm doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day. I'm eating healthy right now."

"I feel really good," Jelly Roll continued. "I was thinking, I plan on losing another 100, 100-and-something [pounds]. If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I'm going to feel like by the time I go on tour."

Jelly Roll divulged in January that he started training for the 2 Bears 5K, which will take place on May 7 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Sharing an Instagram video of himself walking outside, he told his fans, "Kyle from the [comedy troupe] Nelk Boys convinced me that I could make it to the 5K by May if I dedicated myself to it. I believe in him. I believe in myself."

In the following month, the "Wild Ones" crooner confessed that his "ultimate goal for the 5K" was to slim down and get healthier. "As long as I'm training for this thing, I'm just shedding weight. I've been eating crazy good, so I'm excited," he shared at the time.

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, also noted that his wife, Bunnie Xo, will be joining at the event. However, Bunnie will be most likely as a supporter, not a fellow racer.
