After announcing the comedy's cancellation in March, the 'Saturday Night Live' alum reportedly hands out a big pile of cash to some creators working on the comedy series.

AceShowbiz - Pete Davidson may feel guilty for canceling his show "Bupkis" abruptly. A new report claims that the former cast member of "Saturday Night Live" handed out a big pile of cash to some creators working on "Bupkis".

According to TMZ, Pete gave "hundreds of thousands" of dollars to the creators who worked on the first season of the TV series. Insiders tell the news outlet that "The King of Staten Island" actor did the gesture to thank them for their hard work.

One of the sources shares that Pete "gave the money to just a handful of people." Those who received the cash prize from the 30-year-old comedian were "involved with season 1, but who weren't necessarily working on the now-dead second season."

Pete revealed in March that he's decided to pull the plug on the show, which also starred Edie Falco and Joe Pesci. The decision came as a surprise as it arrived a year after the semi-autobiographical series was renewed for a second season.

On why he decided to end the show, the "Meet Cute" star explained in a statement to Variety, "I've always seen 'Bupkis' as a window into my life, since it is so personal and about my struggles and family." He added, "After nearly a decade of my personal life being in the media I wanted a chance to tell my story my way."

"Of all the work I've ever done, 'Bupkis' is by far what I'm most proud of. I am so grateful to Lorne Michaels and Broadway Video, Peacock, Universal Television and the amazing cast and writers for helping me create something honest, funny and heartfelt," he continued.

Pete also shared that he also felt "that this part of my life is finished. I'm very excited for this next chapter and for you guys to see the work." He concluded, "Thank you to all who support me for I am forever grateful."
