AceShowbiz - Grammy-nominated rapper GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Woods, recently had an unforgettable experience at the White House. There, she had the chance to meet President Joe Biden as well as Vice President Kamala Harris.
When making an appearance on "Tamron Hall Show" for its recent episode, GloRilla shared her disbelief at the invitation. Speaking to host Tamron Hall, she said, "I always think they're lying." She added, "I still haven't accepted the reality of it."
As she entered the White House, GloRilla's excitement grew. "It was like, 'Oh my God, I'm here, I'm here, I'm here," she recalled. "Once I got in, it was a beautiful feeling. I never would have expected to be in the White House."
During her visit, GloRilla posted a selfie video with Biden on Instagram, exclaiming, "Yeah, Joe!" Biden sweetly replied, "Not 'Yeah, Joe.' Yeah, you!"
Speaking on CNN, GloRilla expressed her disbelief. "Everybody don't get to meet the President and the Vice President," she said. "I was like, 'Now, they can't mess with me!'"
Despite the honor, GloRilla emphasized that her visit to the White House has no political implications. "That [Biden support] ain't got nothing to do with me," she told CNN. "I'm just living my life like it's golden."
GloRilla's visit to the White House marks another milestone for Memphis rap. In December, CMG label head Yo Gotti attended a White House Christmas party hosted by First Lady Jill Biden.
