AceShowbiz - Mauricio Umansky, the 53-year-old businessman and estranged husband of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Kyle Richards, has expressed annoyance over the attention that his fame brings.
After his split from Richards last summer following 28 years of marriage, Umansky shared his feelings on the show "Extra." He acknowledged the sacrifices made by his family due to their public lifestyle.
"Sometimes I feel like the public eye... just all the scrutiny - particularly with going through the separation from Kyle - speculation, scrutiny, all of that, it's annoying," he said. "Not being able to live under any privacy or anything like that. That's definitely a very huge sacrifice that I think we all accept when we all want to be on reality television, and it's a sacrifice
Umansky, who shares three daughters with Richards, recently explained to them that their mother had requested "space" and had given him permission to date others. However, they were not to discuss their personal lives.
"I had an amazing 26 years with your mom," he told his daughters. "I did everything possible to save the marriage, but she said she needed space."
Richards reportedly set the rules that Umansky could date without her knowledge or questioning, and vice versa. The couple remains separated although the terms of their separation have not been publicly disclosed.
