AceShowbiz - Kanye West causes a stir once again. This time, the "Donda" artist made headlines for his new look after he showed off new metallic dentures which reportedly cost a hefty $850,000.
The Yeezy designer took to Instagram Stories to treat his followers to a better look at his new dentures by the self-proclaimed "Father of Diamond Dentistry," Dr. Thomas Connelly, and cosmetic dentist Naoki Hayashi. In the next slide, he shared a picture of "James Bond" villain, Jaws, who had a mouth of metal, seemingly hinting that he was inspired by the character.
According to Daily Mail, the Chicago star's teeth were fully removed and replaced with custom-made titanium dentures. However, Connelly denied the claims, telling Complex, "He did not have his teeth removed. He still has a full dentition. Healthy and happy."
Connelly additionally gushed over Ye's dentures in an interview with Daily Mail. "Ye was a pleasure to work with every step of the process. His vision for designing unique art transcends the dental progression," he explained. "The marriage of his Vision with dental science has created a new look that is epic!"
Despite the expensive makeover, Internet users were not a fan of Ye's new look. "He's running out of ideas to be controversial," one X user said. "These celebrities will do anything just to attract attention," another added, with someone else writing, "Rich people be so bored lmfaooooo ... get a hobby."
"He is still an idiot, more money than brains!!! Get Help Man!" one person blasted the rapper. "No way Kanye west went through with that. Look like he wrapped his teeth with gum wrapper," one other said in disbelief.
This wasn't the first time for Ye to decorate his teeth. Back in 2010, the former husband of Kim Kardashian claimed on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that he took out his bottom teeth and replaced them with diamonds. "I just thought that diamonds were cooler. … It's certain stuff that rock stars are supposed to do," the "Famous" spitter said at the time.
