AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's matchmaker is no other than her own family member. Danny Frye III, who claims that he's the singer/songwriter's second cousin, reveals that he "made a love connection" between the pop superstar and the NFL star.
Danny revealed his important role in the hot romance between the two stars in a TikTok interview with FloRacing. In the clip which was uploaded on Saturday, January 13, he first talked about his close relationship with the Grammy winner.
Danny, who is a dirt track racer, said he and Taylor "grew up pretty close," but admitted, "Since she's exploded, it makes a little bit difficult at times." He added, "But we grew up together. She grew up right outside Philadelphia up until about high school and then moved to Nashville."
"[The] funny thing is, a lot of people have been trying to figure out who I am lately, so, but yeah it's been an interesting month or so, been going to a few Chiefs games," Danny shared, before dropping the bombshell, "You know, [I] made a love connection between her and Travis Kelce, so it's been quite the 34 years that [Taylor and I have] had together."
Danny didn't delve into details of how he introduced his cousin to Travis, but he showed a screenshot of him and Taylor hugging with excitement at a Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills on December 10, proving their close relationship.
As for the possibility of Taylor making an appearance at his race, Danny said the "Anti-Hero" hitmaker is not a fan of motorsport. "She politely has turned me down a little bit," he said.
Travis previously credited the mystery matchmaker for setting him up with Taylor in a November interview with WSJ magazine. "There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said], 'Yo! Did you know he was coming?' I had somebody playing cupid," he said at the time.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end also revealed that the mystery matchmaker later "told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get [Taylor] to reach out." While Travis kept his lips sealed on the identity of the cupid, there was speculation that Jason Sudeikis could have played cupid for the couple.
