The 64-year-old 'Got Talent' creator has taken to social media to proudly debut a new addition to his family, an adorable puppy named Pebbles that he has just adopted.

AceShowbiz - Simon Cowell has taken in a new puppy. The "Britain's Got Talent" star has welcomed a new addition to his family by bringing home a new German Shepherd called Pebbles after previously owning a number of dogs including two Yorkshire terriers named Squiddly and Diddly and adopted pooch Daisy as well as taking in his mum's dog Freddy following her death in 2015.

"Our family has had a new arrival ...her name is Pebbles," Simon, 64, wrote as he introduced his new girl in a post on Instagram, sharing a picture of her cuddled up on his lap.

Simon's last dog, Daisy, was a stray who he adopted in 2018 after falling in love with her during a holiday in Barbados and he has a long history of supporting animal charities.

He previously admitted he loved his dogs so much, he would considering cloning them so he would never have to be without them. Simon told The Sun On Sunday newspaper, "I am 100 per cent cloning the dogs, all of them. We've thoroughly looked into it, got all the details and I can prove to you I'm going to clone them. There is documentation."

"I am doing it because I cannot bear the thought of them not being around. I might actually do it sooner rather than later, which will mean we have six dogs running around. It doesn't hurt them. It's like a swab, a DNA thing. I cannot imagine Squiddly, Diddly and Freddy not being around, so this is the solution."

It was also previously reported Simon has allocated a huge slice of his fortune to go to animal charities after his death. He's believed to have made a will which includes substantial donations to causes he cares about including Dogs Trust, K9 in Barbados, and London's Battersea Dogs Home.

He told Glamour magazine, "I have always loved dogs but had no idea how much happiness they would bring to my life. [My dogs] are hugely important members of my family - and even the thought of any dog being mistreated sickens me."
