During the Tuesday, January 10 episode, Kelly interviewed "Two and a Half Men" alum Jon Cryer, who claimed that his wife told him that he looks "sexier in New York." Praising the 58-year-old for his look in a gray suit, the "Because of You" songstress said, "Well, if you're dressing like this sir."
Kelly later shared that it might also apply for herself. "Hey! It turns out I'm sexier in New York," she quipped, earning cheers and applause from the audience.
The singer, however, looked embarrassed by her own statement as she tried to clarify that she was joking. "I was just making a joke because everyone's talking about… I'm like, turns out I was a dog in L.A.," Kelly said.
Upon watching the interview, fans quickly made sure Kelly knew that she's gorgeous anywhere. "Kelly you are gorgeous in NY, CA and anywhere you go, always have been and always will be," one fan wrote. Another fan added, "Jon looks great! Kelly too as always."
Kelly's comment arrived after she opened up about her weight loss journey in an interview with PEOPLE. "I dropped weight because I've been listening to my doctor - a couple years I didn't," she told the magazine for its recent cover story. "And 90 percent of the time I'm really good at it because a protein diet is good for me anyway. I'm a Texas girl, so I like meat - sorry, vegetarians in the world!"
