Despite feeling 'happy' and 'pleased' that his prison sentence is reduced, the former 'Chrisley Knows Best' star will not be able to gather with his family for upcoming holiday.

AceShowbiz - Todd Chrisley apparently will be spending Thanksgiving behind bars. The former "Chrisley Knows Best" star reportedly is "very upset" upon learning that he cannot gather with his loved ones for the upcoming holiday.

Speaking to TMZ on Tuesday, November 21, the 54-year-old former reality TV star's attorney Jay Surgent said, "Todd's very upset about his situation as his first holiday season behind bars begins and he's around other inmates instead of loved ones." Jay went on to spill that Todd and his wife Julie Chrisley's daughter Savannah Chrisley is "planning to visit both Todd and Julie in prison at some point over the holidays."

One day prior, Jay spoke to RadarOnline.com about Todd staying in prison during the holiday. Jay told the outlet that Todd "feels bad he can't be home for the holidays with his family." Though so, the attorney assured, "We are working on it."

During the chat, Jay revealed that Todd and Julie's appeal case is "moving forward." The attorney stated that their children have been "given some hope" that their parents will be able to be released from prison sooner than the initial dates.

Jay further shared, "Todd is happy. He's pleased with how things are going. We are very pleased. It's a good sign." He additionally spilled that Todd and Julie's 26-year-old daughter "feels very satisfied" with the good news.

Todd is able to get his prison sentence reduced by 2 years, while Julie gets hers reduced by 1 year. According to legal documents obtained by the outlet, the wedded couple is set to attend their hearing on March 25, 2024 in Atlanta.

Previously, Todd was convicted of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the U.S. and tax fraud before he was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Meanwhile, Julie was convicted of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the U.S., tax fraud as well as wire fraud and slapped with a 7-year prison sentence.

In January, Todd and Julie began their prison sentences at two separate facilities. While he went to FPC Pensacola in Florida, she stayed at FMC Lexington in Kentucky. They will be spending the upcoming holidays at their respective facilities.
