AceShowbiz - A Robbie Williams fan has passed away after falling at one of his concerts last week. The woman in her 70s fell down six rows of seating at Sydney's Allianz Stadium in Moore Park on Thursday evening, November 16, and she passed away on Tuesday, November 21.
"We were called in to reports of a woman in her 70s who had fallen. We treated her on scene to injuries to her face and head and took her to St Vincent's Hospital in a critical condition," a New South Wales Ambulance spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.
Medical authorities confirmed on Tuesday that the lady has passed away. A Venues NSW spokesman previously revealed the woman was treated by staff and a guest who was a "qualified medical professional."
They explained, "The patron was attended to immediately by venue staff and a nearby guest who is a qualified medical professional. Medics arrived shortly after and the patron was taken from the venue by ambulance to hospital."
The incident occurred on the first night of the Australian leg of Robbie's "XXV Tour". At the time of writing, he is yet to comment publicly on the tragedy.
It comes after a Taylor Swift fan died at her concert in Brazil last week. The 33-year-old pop megastar had been gearing up to take to the stage in Rio de Janeiro as part of her "Eras" tour on Friday, November 17, but was left heartbroken when she heard a 23-year-old woman - who has since been named as Ana Clara Benevides - had initially passed out in the 42-degree heat before suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest, according to local media.
In a handwritten note posted to Instagram, Taylor said, "I can't believe I'm writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show. I can't even tell you how devastated I am. There's very little information I have other than the fact that she was incredibly beautiful and far too young."
"I'm not going to be able to speak about this from stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it. I want to say now feel this loss deeply and broken heart goes out to her family and friends. This is the last thing I ever thought thing would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil."
