AceShowbiz - Netflix has unveiled the official poster of the upcoming season of "Sweet Home". The new poster for the sophomore season of the South Korean series, which quickly becomes a global hit, features Song Kang's Cha Hyunsoo becoming what seems to be a half monster and half human.

The high school student can be seen sporting a monster-like wing covered in sharp spikes on his right back, while his left hand is still intact. The artwork, shared on Monday, November 6, also features helicopter lights and soldiers pointing guns at him.

The poster further hints that the new season will see Hyunsoo in a big dilemma. "To remain as a monster or to remain as a human," read a tagline on the poster.

The first season ended with Hyunsoo becoming the only hope for the residents of Green Home after refusing to become a monster. The loner high school student left Green Home and went out into the world full of monsters.

Of his character on the horror series, Kang previously said, "I had a thirst for something emotionally deeper and more dramatic, and coming back to 'Sweet Home' and expressing my emotions in a dramatic way quenched a lot of that thirst, and I was able to learn a lot about myself and develop a lot more."

As for Director Lee Eung Bok, he shared, "The story focuses on how Hyun Soo preserves his humanity until the end, even on the edge of despair."

The poster came after Netflix released a date announcement teaser for season 2 of "Sweet Home", which is based on the webtoon comic of the same name by Hwang Yongchan. The highly-anticipated new season will arrive on December 1, 3 years after the first season ended in December 2020.
