The 'Friends' alum looked to be in good spirits as he engaged in conversation with his female companion during lunch at the Hotel Bel-Air on Friday, October 27.

AceShowbiz - More insight into how Matthew Perry spent his last 24 hours before his sudden passing has been revealed. The actor was spotted on a lunch date with a mystery brunette, one day before he was found unconscious in a jacuzzi at his home.

According to TMZ, the American-Canadian star, who was best known for his portrayal of Chandler Bing on "Friends", appeared in good spirits during the outing on Friday afternoon, October 27 around 2:30 P.M. He was seen sharing a table with his female companion at a restaurant at the Hotel Bel-Air.

In photos obtained by the site, the 54-year-old was seen chatting with the brunette lady. Eyewitnesses said the actor was so engaged in conversation with her that he barely touched his drink or food. The informants further claimed that he and his guest were seated at the table for over an hour and left together.

Just one day later, on Saturday, Matthew was found unresponsive in his hot tub at his home in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles. He reportedly came back home that afternoon after playing a two-hour game of pickleball when he asked his assistant to run an errand. When his assistant returned, they found him submerged in his hot tub and called 911, but he was pronounced dead.

Matthew reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest, but Los Angeles County coroner has deferred giving a cause of death for his passing, pending toxicology reports which may take weeks to arrive. Police initially ruled out foul play, but his death is now reportedly being investigated by robbery homicide police.

"It may come as a surprise to some because foul play is not suspected at this point but cops say it's just standard procedure for (its Robbery Homicide Division to investigate) high-profile cases," TMZ reported on Tuesday, October 31.

Matthew was believed to be single at the time of his passing. He previously was engaged to Molly Hurwitz, who praised him as a "talented" actor despite calling him a "complicated" person in a tribute to the late star.

A source told Daily Mail, "Matthew claimed he wanted this family and to be loved forever by one woman, but he had that with (Molly) until he threw it away. She caught him talking to a teenage girl on a dating website and he became defensive. Their split was not amicable, but Molly doesn't blame him, nor does she harbor any negative feelings."
