The 'Watch What Happens Live' host recalls the time he interviewed Britney Spears and felt as if she was held hostage by an unnamed female handler who's always be her side.

AceShowbiz - Andy Cohen has remembered the "really creepy" time he met Britney Spears. The 55-year-old TV star chatted with pop legend Britney - who regained control of her multimillion-dollar fortune and various aspects of her life when a conservatorship governed by her family in November 2021 after 13 years - for an interview in 2016 when she was promoting her album "Glory".
Recalling the presence of a woman, Andy explained that it was almost as if the "Lucky" hitmaker was her "captive" when they met.
Speaking on his Sirius XM show "Andy Cohen Live", he explained, "They said, 'There's this woman who is at Britney's side at all times,' and she basically tells her what to do and where to go and it's really creepy.' And I get there and this woman was there and it was like Britney was her captive. "
The "...Baby One More Time" songstress has recently released her tell-all memoir "The Woman in Me" and Andy said that she mentions the woman by name in the tome and although he refused to do so on his show, he remembered thinking that the whole situation was "so weird" at the time.
"Now, Britney mentions her by name in the book a lot and how much she hated her and I'm not going to mention her name 'cause I don't want to get sued, but it was really creepy. Whispering in her ear before everything and we're sitting up there on stage with me and Britney and will.i.am and she comes up says something in her ear and Britney's like, 'Mhm mhm.' And I'm like, 'What are they doing?' You know? And it was clearly for the cameras and it was just all so weird."
