Reflecting on his first performance with Quavo in months at the award show, the 'Ric Flair Drip' emcee reveals that they put together the 'cinematic' set in 16 hours.

AceShowbiz - Offset has addressed his recent performance with Quavo at the 2023 BET Awards. Marking their first onstage reunion since the death of Takeoff, the show meant a lot for Offset as it helped clear his "soul," according to the rapper.

The husband of Cardi B reflected on the BET Awards performance during his Instagram Live on Friday, June 30. "I love all my fans. I love of y'all, man. We did the BET performance, man. It was iconic, man," he began gushing.

"It cleared my soul," the 31-year-old said of the gig, which was put together in just 16 hours. "Me and my brother Quay, man, we put that together within, like, 16 hours, like, 15 hours ... We do that 'cause we're some real stars. We do this music."

Offset boasted they were able to do that because "we're the greatest group to ever touch the mic." He added, "R.I.P. to my brother [Takeoff]. We did it for our brother. Me and [Quavo] stood tall, brother to brother."

Thanking all of his fans for their support, he continued, "And I appreciate everybody for supporting. It was a movie. It was a vibe, we needed that for the culture." He went on sharing, "That's how we coming."

"We did it in 16 hours like real professionals," the "Ric Flair Drip" hitmaker reiterated, explaining that they locked down everything, including performance visuals, the stage positioning and the lighting. He went on noting that when they work together, "It's always gonna be cinematic."

"Thank god for that moment," he gushed, before stating once again, "We did it for Take."

Offset and Quavo surprised everyone when they reunited on stage at the June 25 event to pay tribute to Takeoff. They delivered a rendition of one of Migos' songs, "Bad and Boujee", while a photo of the late rapper was displayed on the giant screen behind them.

The duo were quickly showered with praises following the performance, with Offset's wife Cardi gushing on Twitter, "I can't take it right now …proud of the boys." T.I. also weighed in backstage, calling the show "goddamn monumental."
