One day after he was reported to have brought his romantic relationship to the next level, the Amazon founder was alleged to have popped the question to his Emmy Award-winning journalist girlfriend when they were alone during their Spain vacation.
The 59-year-old, per report by TMZ, went down on one knee shortly after he and his partner arrived in either Ibiza or Mallorca, Spain in mid-May. Sources claimed that the billionaire held a private proposal attended by only the two of them. They were also rumored to have been keeping their engagement news under tight wraps for days.
On how Jeff and Lauren felt after getting engaged, a source told PEOPLE, "They have been in a great mood and are obviously enjoying their trip. When they first arrived in Spain, Lauren especially seemed giddy with excitement as they toured the yacht."
The source went on to reveal the lovebird's activities by saying, "Lauren keeps enjoying the tanning deck. They stopped for lunch in Ibiza mid-week before continuing on to France, where they spent the weekend."
Sharing that the two "are usually hand-in-hand," and they "look very happy," the source additionally revealed, "Her engagement ring is beyond stunning. And huge! She keeps playing with it and looking at it. You can tell she loves it." The source added, "He proposed last week. They're on cloud nine - so happy and madly in love."
As for their vacation in Spain, Jeff and Lauren were unraveled in photos obtained by TMZ to have boarded a luxury yacht after Lauren arrived in Mallorca on May 15 in a private jet. Two days later, the perfect pair were caught on cameras going to Ibiza. In the May 17 snaps, Lauren was seen wearing a ring on her finger.
Jeff and Lauren first went public with their romantic relationship in January 2019. Jeff is a father to four children whom he shared with ex-wife MacKenzie Scott. Meanwhile, Lauren is a mother to two children whom she has with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell. She also has a son with ex-boyfriend Tony Gonzalez.
