The 'WAP' hitmaker is said to be in talks for the role of the love interest of the 'Air' star/director, who is reported to play a washed-up MLB pitcher in the upcoming film.

AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion's next acting venture could see her pairing up with one of Hollywood A-listers. After news broke several weeks ago that she's in talks to star in the Safdie brothers' next movie, details of her role have now surfaced.

According to What's On Netflix, the Grammy Award-winning artist is offered the role of Ben Affleck's girlfriend. The "Air" star/director himself is cast to play a washed-up MLB pitcher who has a crazy comeback year, scooper Jeff Sneider reported back in late March.

The new report also claims that Steve Harvey is eyed for a supporting role, while Benicio del Toro is or, at one point, was eyed for a role in the upcoming movie. Details of their roles are currently unknown and neither of them has been officially confirmed as part of the cast for the movie.

Title and the plot of the new film remain under tight wraps. When the project was first announced, it was only said to be "in the world of sports," but that's since been refined to "set in the world of high-end sports card collecting."

The movie will reunite "Uncut Gems" directors, brothers Josh and Benny Safdie, with Adam Sandler, who is reportedly set to star in a featured role. He will play an agent based in 1990s New York City.

In an interview with Vanity Fair published in October 2022, the "Murder Mystery" star said the movie would start production in the late winter 2022/2023. He, however, was coy when talking about his character in an interview with Variety in November.

"I don't know - we'll see what happens. I know I'm going to have a different look than what I had," the 56-year-old actor teased. "I know [the Safdie brothers] send me pictures of a look that I'm going to have and I can't say I'm going to look that handsome in it."

As for Megan, she signed an exclusive first-look deal at Netflix in 2021, to create and executive produce new series and other projects. She is set to appear in A24's upcoming R-rated musical "F*cking Identical Twins", which is described as a spin on "The Parent Trap", and has guest starred on Disney+'s MCU series "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law" as a fictionalized version of herself.
