AceShowbiz - Yung Baby Tate has teamed up with Saweetie once again. The former tapped the "Best Friend" hitmaker for a new music video for "Hey Mickey!" remix, which arrived back in March.
Helmed by Chandler Lass, the clip takes place in an alternate universe. It opens with Tate having a crush on someone so she and Saweetie decide to follow him to a party. Once they arrive, however, they find out that the man is actually gay.
On the remix, Saweetie raps, "Ayy, Mickey, maybe I could be your Minnie (Uh-huh), I'm about my cheddar, but I never been no snitchey, zip them lippy's/ Flexin' all that cash, but you acting like a kiddie, this ain't Disney, real boss b***h, leave a n***a quick." She adds, "What I look like? I'm too litty, ay, bay, bay, I'm with Tate, she a Taurus, I'm a Cancer/ Where my college b***hes? USC my alma mater/ 'Is her booty real?' Girl, does it even matter?"
The original version of "Hey Mickey!" was released in 2016. After blowing up on TikTok with more than 1.6 million people using the sound, she decided to create its remix with Saweetie.
Reflecting on the success of the track, Tate said on the set of the music video, "I feel blessed to have something that I have created just in my room, not even thinking of the possibility." She added, "I am super excited, because of the fact that this song is so old."
"I put it out in 2016. So, now for it to have a new life and have Saweetie on it, just means so much to me," she further gushed. "I am super excited that the world finally has it, and they can now see this super hot video."
