Breezy posts a tribute to the 37-year-old rapper, who was featured on his songs 'Stars' and 'Everybody', on Instagram, while Hitmaka dubs his longtime friend's passing 'a tragedy.'

AceShowbiz - Chris Brown is mourning the shocking death of his collaborator Young Lo. The rapper/producer was shot and killed outside a Miami nightclub in the early hours of Sunday, May 7, according to CBS.

Upon hearing the devastating news, the "Look at Me Now" hitmaker shared a tribute to Lo via his Instagram Story. He posted an image of the late rapper and wrote, "love you bro. Rest up my brother," with a broken heart emoji.

Chris and Lo worked on songs like "Everybody", "Stars" and "In love with the B***hes". The MakaSound A&R's credits also included collaborations with Drake, Lil Wayne, Ray J and Tyga.

Christian "Hitmaka" Ward, who co-founded MakaSound where Lo workeed in A&R, also remembered his longtime friend. "Lo has been a longtime friend of mine for like 15 years," he told Billboard on Monday. "We go as far back to when Ray J and I were doing 'Sexy Can I' and all these different records."

The Grammy-nominated producer described Lo, "Lo was just a great people person who knew how to put the right people together and had the resources to where maybe a Chris Brown or such-and-such [artist] might be good for a project. Lo was always a great asset to me. He was just great energy. Everybody loved to have Lo around. He was also very selfless, putting a lot of people before himself."

"This is truly a tragedy," Hitmaka continued. "I haven't lost a close friend like that, so this has rocked my world. I'm just dealing with picking up the pieces, helping out his mother, his family and his son. I'm sending super condolences to his family and loved ones. And man, I want to preach to everybody to just stay safe. Tomorrow isn't promised. Tell loved ones that you love them on a daily basis because you just never know."

According to reports, Lo, whose real name was Lowell Grissom, was shot while winding down at Miami's Gala club around 4 A.M. ET on Sunday. He was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Two other persons, both women, were also hit, but they are expected to survive their injuries and make a full recovery. A friend believes that Lo was targeted in the shooting and that the women were just bystanders. So far, no arrest has been made.

Lo, who moved to South Florida from California, reportedly leaves behind a young son.
