AceShowbiz - Cardi B isn't here for unnecessary drama. The "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker, who was among the stars attending the 2023 Met Gala on Monday, May 1, shut down rumors that she's feuding with La La Anthony, who was on hosting duty for Vogue.
The speculations started after an Internet troll tried to create a fake narrative while responding to a video of La La interviewing the Grammy winner on the red carpet at the biggest fashion event. "It's so obvious that she can't stand her," the troll wrote.
Cardi was quick to set the record straight. "Not true," the "Invasion of Privacy" artist clarified. She went on to gush over the "Power" actress, saying, "I talk to La La more than any celeb… She knows everything!!! If you ever need something she knows all the contacts. She has helped me ALOT !!!!"
That aside, Cardi once again brought her fashion A-game at this year's Met Gala, which honored Karl Lagerfeld with its "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" theme. For the occasion, the "WAP" raptress debuted four different ensembles at the event and subsequent after-parties.
She was first photographed in a pink tulle column gown by Miss Sohee when exiting her hotel. She later traded it for a black Chenpeng Studio gown with a rose accent for her red carpet look. The dress featured a sleeveless white collar top and black tie which were nods to Karl's signature outfit.
Inside the event, Cardi changed into a pink tweed gown designed by Richard Quinn. Lastly, the wife of Offset turned heads in a form-fitting dress that was adorned with a newspaper print. The femcee gave a sweet final tribute to the late fashion icon as fans noticed that the dress featured Women's Wear Daily news articles about Lagerfeld's work at Chanel.
