AceShowbiz - Eric Braeden just revealed that he has been diagnosed with cancer. After getting candid about his health issue in a social media post, "The Young and the Restless" star found himself being showered with love and support by fans.

Taking to Facebook, the 82-year-old shared a video of himself opening up about his health scare. He said he has had bladder and urination problems, but they worsened during his recovery from a recent knee-replacement surgery.

"I hate to be this personal but I think this may be good for some older guys who may or may not listen to this," Eric said. He then note that he came to the point where he was frequently urinating, about every half hour or so.

A urologist later suggested Eric undergo a UroLift, which relieves pressure on the urethra. However, before undergoing that procedure, he said the urination problem "became so bad I couldn't pee." The actor further lamented, "And that my friends I can tell you is one of the most painful experiences I've had."

Eric later went to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles where he was diagnosed with cancer. As a result, he has been instructed to undergo immunotherapy once a week for six weeks.

The German-born actor, who just had his second of six immunotherapy, additionally told his fans, "I've learned now to listen to my body more, and not go all out." He then added "So if you've seen me a little under the weather, yeah, I have been, but I will lick this. This bastard aint going to get me, I'm going to get it."

After sharing his story, fans were quick to show support for Eric in the comment section. "Sending you love at this time. Will keep you in my thoughts and heart. You are strong. Stay positive! Big Hug!" one person commented.

Another penned, "Saying prayers for you. You are a tough cookie. You've got this!" A third, meanwhile, replied, "I'm sending my thoughts and prayers to you Eric. You're a fighter and you will prevail. Love to you."
