AceShowbiz - It has been nearly two weeks since Jimin released his debut solo album, "FACE", and he already saw his name on multiple music charts. The new record debuted at No. 1 on the Circle Album Chart in South Korea, the Oricon Albums, Digital Albums charts and Billboard Japan's Hot Albums chart in Japan.
The 27-year-old BTS (Bangtan Boys) member also made history with "FACE" as the album peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with 164,000 units. It marks the highest-charting album by a Korean soloist on the list.
According to Chart Data, Jimin also "earns the biggest debut sales week for an artist with their first Billboard 200 entry since [Olivia Rodrigo] in 2021." The singer had another thing to be excited about as one of it tracks, "Like Crazy", is expected to debut at #1 on this week's Hot 100. It would mark his first #1 hit as a soloist.
"Like Crazy" also debuted at No. 8 on the U.K. Singles Chart, becoming the highest-debuting single by a Korean solo artist in OCC chart history. Jimin is the only BTS member to enter the Top 10.
"Like Crazy" hit streaming services on March 24, the same day "FACE" arrived. It was also given a music video treatment, which shows Jimin at a party. As the clip transitions, he's seen sitting alone in a kitchen with flickering lights. The rest of the clip displays the singer jumping between the two locations.
Around a week prior to the album's release, Jimin unleashed a single called "Set Me Free Pt.2" and its visuals. The track landed at No. 3 on the Official Singles Chart at Number 30. The single also started at No. 5 on Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and No. 8 on the Billboard Global 200.
