AceShowbiz - Ashley Graham is taking the high road. The model had an epic reaction when asked if she's offended by Hugh Grant, who was called out for being rude toward her during a red carpet interview at the 2023 Oscars on Sunday, March 12.
In an interview with TMZ on Monday, Ashley showed grace as she said, "You know what, my mama told me to kill people with kindness, so there you go." The 35-year-old star did not further elaborate on the awkward moment, but she said that she still "had such a good time" while interviewing several other celebrities on behalf of ABC.
Hugh landed in hot water as Internet users criticized his lackluster response toward Ashley's basic questions during the interview. When asked if he was rooting for anyone at this year's Academy Awards, the "Notting Hill" actor responded, "No one in particular."
Hugh also apparently dismissed Ashley's question about his tuxedo as he claimed it was as a result of the work of his tailor whose name he "can't remember." Seemingly irritated, the "Love Actually" actor said of his cameo in "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery", "Well I'm barely in it. I'm in it for 3 seconds." Later when the model asked if he had fun doing the film, he reluctantly replied, "Almost."
Fans quickly blasted Hugh for being unnecessarily rude to Ashley. "Ashley Graham was so sweet and professional with Hugh Grant on the interview… and he's just a d**k," one person commented. One other tweeted, "Y'all Hugh Grant is a jerk. He was SO rude to Ashley Graham on the red carpet. Disgusted!"
"Do better Hugh Grant. The person interviewing you is doing it for people who watch your movies and put money in your pocket," another person urged. One other said, "What a douche. Not that we didn't already know."
