The band, which was fronted by the late Chester Bennington, scores their second No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Songs thanks to their new un-heard song, 'Lost'.

AceShowbiz - Linkin Park has thrilled fans after releasing a never-before-heard song from "Meteora 20th Anniversary Edition" last month. The special tune, which is titled "Lost", allows fans to hear the late Chester Bennington's vocals once again.

"Lost" reached the pinnacle of Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Songs dated February 25. It marks the band's second No. 1 on the list following their hit "In the End", which reigned for two weeks in 2021 due to gains sparked by iTunes sale pricing.

Meanwhile, on Hot Alternative Songs, the song landed at No. 2. It also peaked at No. 4 on both Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Rock Songs. As for its position on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, "Lost" made its entry by placing at No. 38.

On "Lost", Chester can be heard singing, " 'Cause when I'm alone I'm lost in these memories/ Living behind my own illusion/ Lost all my dignity/ Living inside my own confusion." He continues to lament, "But I'm tired, I will always be afraid/ Of the damage I've received/ Broken promises they made/ And how blindly I believed."

Linkin Park has been inactive since performing in a tribute concert for Chester in October 2017, "Linkin Park and Friends: Celebrate Life in Honor of Chester Bennington". In May 2022, however, the group informed fans they will start communicating with them "a little more regularly."

"Two decades in and our LP community continues to inspire us. Your passion and dedication is the lifeblood of what we've built together with you," they said in a statement posted on Instagram. "And it doesn't go unnoticed. We thought it was about time to begin sharing a little more regularly with you."

"Starting this month, we'll be putting (digital) pen to (digital) paper to share NOTES FROM THE BAND-tiny snapshots into our daily misadventures, from us each month," they added. "There's no concrete plan, but that's what we like about it. Until then…All our best, Rob, Brad, Dave, Joe, Mike (sic)."
