AceShowbiz - J-Hope has teamed up with J. Cole for a new joint single called "On the Street". The song arrived on Friday, March 3 along with its official music video, which shows the BTS (Bangtan Boys) member and the emcee meeting up in New York City.

The visuals shows J-Hope strolling around the city while delivering his verses. The clip then cuts to a scene where J. Cole raps his own bars on a rooftop overlooking the Brooklyn bridge. His collaborator then takes a busway ride to join him there.

J-Hope, whose real name is Jung Ho-seok, opens the reflective tune by singing, "Every time I work/ Every time I run/ Every time I move/ As always, for us." He continues, "Every time I look/ Every time I love/ Every time I hope/ As always, for us (On the street, I'm still)."

As for the German-born rhymer, he spits, "I contemplate if I should wait to hand over the crown/ And stick around for a bit longer/ I got a strange type of hunger/ The more I eat the more it gets stronger/ J-hope, Cole World."

"On The Street" was droped just days after it was announced that J-Hope will soon begin the enlistment process to complete his mandatory military service in his country. Big Hit said in a statement, "We would like to inform our fans that J-hope has initiated the military enlistment process by applying for the termination of his enlistment postponement."

"We will inform you of further updates in due course. We ask you for your continued love and support for J-hope until he completes his military service and safely returns," the music label added. "Our company will spare no effort in providing support for our artist."
