The new episode of season 27 of the ABC dating show also sees Zach hosting a virtual cocktail party with the women after his COVID-19 test result came back positive.

AceShowbiz - Zach Shallcross' love journey didn't go as planned in this week's episode of "The Bachelor". Airing on Monday, February 20, the episode saw Zach being forced to cancel group and one-on-one date due to his positive COVID-19 test result.

Zach contracted COVID after his first one-on-one date in London with Gabi. The unfortunate situation brought the rest of the week to a halt. Episode 5 of season 27 of the ABC dating show started on a high note, with Gabi getting the first one-on-one date since the contestants left Los Angeles.

Zach planned to treat Gabi "like a royal" as they took a car through London, stopping along the way for Gabi to create her own perfume, try on tiaras and gowns and even share some afternoon tea. During the nighttime portion of the date, Gabi told Zach how special the day made her feel, to which he responded that he's happy to make her feel that way. Unsurprisingly, he gave her the rose.

Before Gabi's date was over, it stirred up some controversy in the hotel when she came back from the first half of the date with several shopping bags in her arms, sending the other women into a jealous rage.

Moreover, the details of the date specifically didn't sit well with Greer, who became emotional while listening to how Gabi and Zach spent their day.

Greer got more disappointed after she learned that she'd be on the group date with Brooklyn, Kat, Aly, Kaity, Ariel, Kylee, Jess and Mercedes. Last week, Greer expressed how much she was hoping to have already been chosen for a one-on-one, considering she got the first impression rose.

On the day of the date, Greer decided she's going to make the most of it. However, before the women could depart, Zach sent a note to let them know that the date wouldn't be happening. "I have a great date planned for you all. Unfortunately, I'm a little under the weather, but I don't want to ruin your time here in London. Go enjoy, and I'll see you soon," his note read.

The women were pretty devastated to not spend the day with Zach. However, they held out hope that he'd be able to catch up with them later for the cocktail party. In the meantime, they still went out and explored London together before getting glammed up for the nighttime portion of the date.

Unfortunately, the women were left disappointed again when Zach didn't show up for the cocktail party either. That's when they learned that Zach had tested positive for COVID and Charity's one-on-one was also canceled.

Once he's feeling better, Zach decided to host a virtual cocktail party with the women prior to a virtual rose ceremony. Each of the women took some time to chat with Zach via video chat respectively, which gave them an opportunity to have some of the conversations that might have happened on their dates.

The canceled dates made the rose ceremony a bit more interesting since only Gabi's going in with a rose. Before the ceremony, Zach got emotional talking to host Jesse Palmer about how he and the women were "robbed" of a week with each other. Though so, he said he knows who he wants to see next week.

The women returning next week are Kaity, Gabi, Charity, Aly, Kat, Brooklyn, Jess, Ariel and Greer. Mercedes and Kylee were sent home.
