When speaking to Billboard in a new interview, the 23-year-old Baton Rouge emcee describes his compulsion to make music as 'a disease' because he 'cannot help [himself].'

AceShowbiz - NBA YoungBoy a.k.a. (YoungBoy Never Broke Again) just made a revelation about his music in a new interview. When sitting down with Billboard, the emcee divulged that he has more than 1,000 unreleased songs.

During the chat, the 23-year-old explained that he loves to freestyle while staying up all night playing with his Xbox. "It's a disease. Literally, I cannot help myself," he told the outlet about his compulsion to make music.

"I tell myself sometimes, 'I'm not going to drop until months from now,' but it's addictive," the Baton Rouge native added. "The music is therapy, but I can't stop it when I want. And the lifestyle is just a big distraction from your real purpose."

Of his nocturnal tendencies, the rhymer elaborated, "Nighttime, when everybody's asleep - it's the most peaceful time ever inside of life to me." He continued, "Nighttime, when it's dark and nothing's moving but the wildlife and the crooks."

YoungBoy recently dropped a new album called "I Rest My Case", which marks his first project in 2023. The record, which arrived just two weeks after "Lost Files", boasts 19 tracks in total, including the previously-released singles "Top Girls" as well as "Groovy".

In 2022, the "Right Foot Creep" spitter scored another feat in his career. The Baton Rouge native surpassed Jay-Z for the most entries on the Billboard 200 after releasing "Ma' I Got a Family" in October.

Presumably satisfied by his success, YoungBoy teased in the following month that he's ready to quit rapping if someone buys his music hard drive for $100 million. "You can have it for 100 million," he captioned a picture of his hard drive that he offers for the staggering price, "and I'll never rap again on everything."
