AceShowbiz - A trial against Tory Lanez over a shooting incident involving Megan Thee Stallion continues with the defense's turn to bring witnesses to the stand. On the seventh day of the trial, Sean Kelly testified to seeing the person firing the first shot.

On Tuesday, December 20, Sean, who watched the altercation between Tory, Megan and her former assistant/ex-BFF Kelsey Nicole Harris from the window of his home in July 2020, testified that he saw a woman fire the first shot during the fight. During his testimony, Sean doesn't mention any names while recounting what he saw on the night of the chaotic fight.

Sean, according to Law & Crime senior reporter Meghann Cuniff, said he awoke to noises and saw two women violently fighting by the car. He also told the jury that he saw a flash and believed it was coming from one of the girls. "They were pulling their hair and hitting each other. It was quite violent," he shared.

Sean went on adding that he saw the driver exit wearing all black and he joined the fray. During his testimony, he stressed several times that he saw a muzzle flash and heard what he thought were fireworks but believed the flashes were from a woman.

"Did you see a muzzle flash?" Tory's defense attorney George Mgdesyan asked Sean. "Yes," he confidently answered, "About the same time that the smallest individual got out of the car," before noting the small guy "got out about that time, all shouting."

Sean later offered details on what the "smallest guy" was doing during the fight. After the "smallest guy" got out of the car, Sean said he "saw more flashes." He explained the shorter guy "was very angry" and was shouting and that the flashes "came from him."

At one point, Sean reportedly said that he did see "the smaller guy" with a gun and subsequently saw two people beat down a woman who was on the ground injured. That's when Tony's lawyer George asked Sean, "Sir, did you see the shorter guy with a gun in his hand?" to which Sean answered, "Yes," adding, "Then everyone started beating one girl, and to me, it appeared that they were going to throw her in the river. It appeared to me when I was on the phone that they were trying to kill her."

After Sean took the stand to testify, LAPD Officer Rogelio Diaz, shared that he did not ask Sean who he thought the shooter was. Ryan Stogner, who was the lead detective, then took the stand to testify.

Ryan detailed his interview with Sean. "He specifically said he couldn't tell who was holding the weapon," Ryan said. The detective also was the one who spoke with the Hot Girl Meg four days after the shooting, when she first told them she had been shot.

At one moment, prosecutor Kathy Ta asked Ryan who Meg identified as the shooter. "Her friend Tory Lanez," Ryan responded. Asked how Meg was in the phone interview, the detective said, "She was very calm, somber and I would say upset about the entire situation."

The felony assault trial against Tory finally kicked off last week after numerous delays. It's still unknown whether Tory will take the stand. But if he does, Judge Herriford said that any lyrics or videos that relate to the case are "fair game," which D.A. Alexander Bott said to include Tory's MV in which he's "butchering horse feet, clearly directed at Megan."

Tory, who pleaded not guilty, has been charged with discharging a firearm with gross negligence, in addition to an assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying an unregistered firearm in a vehicle charge. If convicted, Tory will spend nearly 23 years behind bars as well as subsequent deportation to Canada.
