AceShowbiz - Elon Musk is using his power to ensure his family's safety. The tech magnate is threatening legal action against a flight-tracker, who is publicly exposing his location, after a "crazy stalker" allegedly put his son lil X in danger.
The Twitter owner took to the platform that he owns on Wednesday night, December 14 to claim that a car carrying his two-year-old boy was followed by an unknown person in Los Angeles. The stalker later blocked the vehicle and climbed onto the hood.
"Last night, car carrying lil X in LA was followed by crazy stalker (thinking it was me), who later blocked car from moving & climbed onto hood," he wrote on the blue-bird app. He also shared a video of the alleged stalker, showing his license plate while asking his followers, "Anyone recognize this person or car?"
Elon blamed programmer Jack Sweeney, the person who started Elon's flight-tracking account in 2020, for the attack on his child. "Legal action is being taken against Sweeney & organizations who supported harm to my family," so he declared.
The 51-year-old additionally suspended Twitter accounts that track planes of government agencies, billionaires and high-profile individuals. "Any account doxxing real-time location info of anyone will be suspended, as it is a physical safety violation. This includes posting links to sites with real-time location info," he announced.
The billionaire clarified, "Posting locations someone traveled to on a slightly delayed basis isn't a safety problem, so is ok." He complained of the alleged bias about how the authorities are handling the matter. "If anyone posted real-time locations & addresses of NYT reporters, FBI would be investigating, there'd be hearings on Capitol Hill & Biden would give speeches about end of democracy!" so he claimed.
He stressed, "Criticizing me all day long is totally fine, but doxxing my real-time location and endangering my family is not." After starting a poll on what they should do with accounts doxxing real-time location info, he announced, "Accounts engaged in doxxing receive a temporary 7 day suspension."
While Elon is seemingly troubled with the stalker, he seemingly has not filed official report about the incident as of Thursday. A spokesperson for LAPD tells TMZ that the department's threat management division is looking into the incident and is in touch with Elon's team.
