When addressing the incident in the Tuesday, December 13 episode of 'The Bennington Show', the stand-up comedian says he doesn't believe it was 'a random attack.'

AceShowbiz - Chris Redd believes that his recent assault in New York City was not just a random act. When addressing the incident once again, the "Saturday Night Live" star detailed why he thinks it was a "planned situation."

"People called it a random attack," the 37-year-old comic said when speaking to SiriusXM host Ron Bennington in the Tuesday, December 13 episode of "The Bennington Show". He added, "I don't believe that. I watched the footage. He waited for me an hour before I got there. He was on the phone, he had a lookout dude and everything."

"All I'm saying is this, I've never done nothing random where it took me an hour to do it," he further elaborated. "I've never just randomly done a random thing that took a build-up. That's not what random is."

Insisting that "it was a planned situation," Chris stated, "That's what I feel in my heart and soul. That's what I saw in the footage." He then quipped, "I'll probably release the footage and do a voiceover thing."

As for the status of the case, Chris divulged that the "cold case got lukewarm real quick." The Missouri-born stand-up comedian also joked that he'd been "ghosted by the chief of police."

The incident took place on October 26. When breaking his silence on the attack during an appearance on "The Last Laugh", Chris said he felt that his nose had been "cut to the bone" when he was hit in the face with "something metal" by a stranger as he approached the venue where he was due to perform a set at the Comedy Cellar in New York.

"Oh man, it was a surprise party of one first! I was walking up to go do the show. First of all, I didn't get out of a car. I walked there like any New Yorker and I had just got done texting my cousin who was above the Cellar," he said. "As I put my phone in my pocket and continued to walk up to The Cellar as I always do, this man hit me in the face with something metal. I thought it was brass knuckles because of the way it cut my nose to the bone."
