AceShowbiz - Millie Bobby Brown has opposed the idea of perfect beauty standards. The "Stranger Things" actress took a stance against Instagram filters by proudly showing off her makeup-free face.

On Tuesday, December 6, the 18-year-old actress turned to her Instagram Story to give her 60 million followers a true glimpse at the difference between a "filter" and "no filter" look. She took the photos while laying in bed as her light tresses fell in loose waves past her shoulders.

In the "filtered" look, Millie puckered her lips and blew a kiss to the camera. Her cheeks were rosy pink and she showed off thick long eyelashes. The unfiltered look was just as beautiful. The "Enola Holmes" star showed off her bare face and wore a few pairs of simple silver hoop earrings.

It's not the first time Millie made a statement against conventional beauty expectations. While portraying the character Eleven on the popular Netflix sci-fi series, she spoke publicly about her character's shaved head. "I hope I inspire people… it's really cool to have short hair," she told PEOPLE in 2016.

Millie's appreciation of natural beauty apparently attracted her boyfriend Jake Bongiovi. Millie and the son of Jon Bon Jovi went public with their relationship in June last year. At the time, they were caught holding hands while casually strolling the streets around the Big Apple. Since then, the pair enjoy posting snaps of each other to their social media accounts.

More recently, Millie revealed she met Jake on Instagram. In an interview with WIRED, the young star candidly unveiled that they connected on the social media platform and became friends, before romance was sparked. "We met on Instagram. And we were friends for a bit, and then, what can I say?" she said when answering the internet's most searched questions about her.
