Serius Jones Slapped With Weapons Charges After Ditching Gun in Restroom of New Jersey Restaurant

The 41-year-old rapper, whose real name is Saleem Bligen, was taken into custody on Thursday, December 1 after he allegedly ditched a gun at a local diner in his home state.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Serius Jones had a run-in with the law. The New Jersey native was reportedly arrested in his home state after allegedly attempting to hide a gun while being questioned about violating a restraining order.

Daily Voice reported that Bergen County Police received a call on Thursday afternoon, December 1 to investigate a restraining order violation at an apartment in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. It was said that the emcee once lived there.

Born Saleem Bligen, Jones allegedly fled the scene and was spotted by officers Kenneth Knebl, Joe Avila, Christopher Dooley and Lavrone Green at a local diner a short time later. When the officers arrived at the restaurant, Jones reportedly was in the bathroom.

The 41-year-old rapper then emerged to speak to the authorities. After they had done talking, Officer Knebl entered the restroom and found a a fully loaded 9mm Sig Sauer P320 on the window sill. The officers also recovered a small amount of prescription drugs, hollow-tip bullets as well as a large capacity magazine.

Jones was immediately arrested and taken to the Bergen County Jail. He has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and several additional weapons related infractions and will remain in jail until his first Central Judicial Processing Court appearance.
