Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Matthews are introducing their second child to the world. In a new social media post, the happy parents offered the first glimpse at their newborn baby boy following his birth.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, November 28, the 27-year-old and his spouse shared a sweet picture of the baby's feet. Alongside the snap, they penned, "Patrick 'Bronze' Lavon Mahomes III 11/28/22 7lbs 8oz."
Patrick and Brittany first announced that they were expecting baby No. 2 on May 29. Making use of their respective Instagram accounts, the pair uploaded a series of pictures that saw them and their 21-month-old daughter Sterling.
In the first two photos, the toddler was wearing a pink t-shirt that read, "I have a secret to tell you," and was holding up a sign that declared, "Baby sister duties coming soon." The last picture shared saw Patrick and Brittany along with Sterling, who stood in the middle of them, holding up an ultrasound image. Along with the post, they wrote a caption that simply read, "Round 2!"
Later in June, Patrick and Brittanny treated their online devotees to a cute gender reveal video. In a video shared on Instagram, the couple's loved ones guessed the gender of their unborn baby. As the clip transitioned, the pair sprayed blue paint out of squirt guns, confirming that they are expecting a son.
The pregnant mom was clearly excited upon learning of the news. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback also couldn't hide his excitement as he jumped in the pool at the end of the footage.
Patrick and Brittany's relationship go way back. They started out as friends while attending Whitehouse High School, and their romance developed ever since. The couple got engaged in September 2020, and the two finally tied the knot on March 12, 2022 in Hawaii.
