In an Instagram Story post, the real estate analyst shares that they're 'not each other's people,' though he calls the 'Dancing with the Stars' contestant 'an amazing person.'

AceShowbiz - "The Bachelorette" alum Erich Schwer has broken his silence on his separation from Gabby Windey. After Gabby explained what caused their split, the New Jersey native made use of his Instagram account to share his side of the story.

"A lot of you are reaching out with questions about me and Gabby. The reality is that we ultimately were not each other's people - it's hard when there isn't one thing to put your finger on," Eric began his lengthy message on Instagram Story on Tuesday, November 15. "We met in a very unique situation and in a very unique way and I'm grateful we did. I would never take it back."

Gushing over his ex, the real estate analyst called Gabby "an amazing person," adding that "she is doing amazing things." He continued, "I will always root for her and I hope she gives them hell in the DWTS finale. I have learned and grown so much this year from experiences and mistakes and I continue to better myself every day."

He concluded his post by writing, "I am hoping to take this time with my family and loved ones and focus on myself. I have been working hard these past few months and I'm excited to share with y'all eventually."

Erich Schwer addressed his split from Gabby Windey.

Erich's post arrived just one day after Gabby confirmed their breakup during the Monday episode of "Dancing with the Stars". "The end of our relationship happened because we weren't completely in step and in sync with each other in our common goals or just the way we approach life," the former NFL cheerleader shared with her professional dancing partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy during a rehearsal. She added that she and Erich "weren't each other's best match."

Further detailing the split, Gabby told Us Weekly that she found it "hard" to open up about the split on TV. "I'm just grateful that I was able to do it on my own terms and when I was ready," the Illinois native divulged. "It was just a new experience overall - being so public and being thrown into this. I think now it's just kind of trying to move forward."

Gabby and Erich got engaged in season 19 finale of "The Bachelorette" that aired in September. A source previously claimed that the former couple broke up because "she felt they weren't aligned and weren't on the same page." The insider continued, "Gabby was hoping they could give each other space and work it out but ultimately decided they didn't have a future."

Prior to that, Gabby sparked split rumors when she said that they were "supporting each other from afar." When asked about the status of her relationship with Erich after he was absent at her "DWTS" Halloween performance, she said, "I think life is just really busy for the both of us right now, so I understand [fans] concern. We're just kind of, you know, going forward with each of our individual interests and supporting each other from afar."
