AceShowbiz - Drake's producer Vinylz is seemingly following in the rapper's steps. Vinylz appeared to diss Taylor Swift on social media just a few hours after Drizzy seemingly threw a shade at the pop star for her "Midnights" success.
Turning to his Instagram Story on Tuesday, November 15, the producer of Drake and 21 Savage's "Rich Flex" posted Billboard Global 200 chart. On it, it could be seen "Rich Flex" hitting the No. 1 while Taylor's "Anti-Hero" sitting at No. 2.
"The world knows what the real #1 song is..," so Vinylz wrote underneath the Top 10 of the Billboard Global 200. The music producer cryptically added, "No tricks on this side," and mentioned the rappers, "@champagnepapi @21savage."
Vinylz's post came only a few hours after Drake appeared to diss Taylor via Instagram Story. On Monday, November 14, the "Certified Lover Boy" artist shared his reaction after he and 21 Savage debuted an impressive 8 entries in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 for songs off their joint album "Her Loss". However, they missed out on the No. 1 spot, which was occupied by Taylor's "Anti-Hero" for the third week.
Drake posted a screenshot of the top 10 and completely blocked out Taylor's name with a bunch of emojis including a man getting a head massage, the popcorn bucket, eight balls and laughing with tears face. Interestingly, the "One Dance" rapper didn't cover Sam Smith and Kim Petras' "Unholy", which sits at No. 10 on the chart. "@21savage congrats my brother," so the 36-year-old Canadian star captioned the post.
Previously, Drake and Taylor have had a long-running friendship. The duo also have consistently been vocal about their mutual respect for one another. In April, they even sent fans into a frenzy with collaboration rumors. The speculations sparked after Drake posted a throwback photo of the duo via Instagram.
In the snapshot, the pair looked very cozy with his arm wrapped around her. "They too soft to understand the meaning of hard work," the "Degrassi: The Next Generation" alum captioned the image.
A quick look at Drake's Instagram account now shows that he has deleted the aforementioned Instagram photo of himself and Taylor, though it remains unclear exactly when this happened. Fans later spotted that he had unfollowed her on the platform as well.
"Drake has unfollowed taylor swift on instagram, he was seen following her before this week billboard updates," one fan tweeted alongside screenshots of Drake's following list before and after Billboard released its latest chart.
Several fans have since speculated that the pair are feuding as a result of Drake's post. "no because this is honestly so ridiculous for him to do. Taylor has showed him nothing but respect over the years and he's petty bc [he] wanted to have the number one," one person tweeted. Another wrote, "Drake being petty to Taylor is weird sir u literally posted this in April," adding a throwback photo that Drake posted on his Instagram feed earlier this year.
