Co-written with Ryan Tedder and Harv, the emotional ballad finds the one-third of Jonas Brothers and his 20-year-old collaborator singing about supporting their loved ones amid adversity.

AceShowbiz - Joe Jonas and Khalid had something special on this year's Veterans Day. On Friday, November 11, the one-third of Jonas Brothers and his collaborator released "Not Alone" from "Devotion" soundtracks.

Co-written with Ryan Tedder and Harv, the emotional ballad finds Joe and Khalid singing about supporting their loved ones amid adversity. "There's so much more than you see/ Like the wind that blows through the trees/ Or the time that's passing by," Joe sings in the first verse.

"I see the tears, they're rollin' down but they're not here to stay," the husband of Sophie Turner goes on. "I know you're starin' at the clouds, tryna wish them away/ When you call the stars, know I'm callin' out your name."

The song arrived along with its music video, which was shot at Hanger 21 in Fullerton, California. In the clip, the two musicians perform in front of an actual plane used in the "Devotion" movie, which is set to be released on November 23. Other scenes feature U.S. veterans as they sit among each other and reflect on their experiences.

Speaking of the visuals, Joe explained, "We definitely spoke about the idea of shooting this video as a separation of my two passions from music and acting," He added, "I'm not playing a character in this video, I'm myself. But we wanted the video to speak to the raw emotion of the song, so everything from the clothing to actually having one of the planes we used in the film."

Joe also revealed that he ended up working with Khalid because they have been friends for a while and that he "brings so much to the table." He further noted, "Having him part of this co-write and also his beautiful voice [being] part of this brought it to a whole new level."

Khalid also offered his two cents, saying, "I'm very thankful that Joe reached out to me to be a part of this. I think that the message is really special." He continued, "The movie, he tells me, is incredible. I can't wait to see it for myself. And this is just a beautiful experience all around. Good vibes, good people, good energy. And I can't wait for you guys to hear the song and see the movie."
