The Scarlet Witch depicter in Marvel Cinematic Universe, who once auditioned for Daenerys Targaryen for 'Game of Thrones', responds to the casting rumors in a new interview.

AceShowbiz - Elizabeth Olsen has broken her silence on speculations that she will be starring in season 2 of "House of the Dragon". The "WandaVision" actress addressed the casting rumors in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

"I don't know how things, like rumors like that, get started, and then people think they're legitimate," the Scarlet Witch depicter in Marvel Cinematic Universe said on Wednesday, September 28 on the red carpet at Variety's Power of Women gala in Los Angeles.

Elizabeth shared that she had to constantly shut down the rumors after she was told by several people that her purported casting on the "Game of Thrones" prequel series had been reported as fact. "Dream casting is fun, yeah," the actress said, "but I heard it was, like, announced though, which is weirder. … I never heard of such a thing."

While the rumors are not true, Elizabeth insinuated that she's still open to appearing on the HBO series. "I mean, sure, yeah. [I'd like to do] anything that's worth telling," she said. "That's a good story, that's innovative, that's great characters."

It was previously revealed that Elizabeth once auditioned for Daenerys Targaryen on "Game of Thrones", a character that eventually went to Emilia Clarke. Her audition, however, went bad as she recalled in an interview with Vulture, "It was the most awkward audition I'd ever had."

"I auditioned for, like, the assistant to the casting director in a small room in New York with just a camera on me and them reading the script," she added. "I was doing the Khaleesi speech when she comes out of the fire. It was awful. I didn't get a callback."

The actress went on to share, "After she just burned. And she's making this speech to thousands of people about how she's their queen. They didn't know if they wanted a British accent or not. So, you did it in both. It was terrible."
