AceShowbiz - A$AP Rocky hates to disappoint his fans. The A$AP Mob member issued an apology statement after his set at the 2022 Rolling Loud New York was cut short on Saturday night, September 24.
"I am so hurt right now!" the 33-year-old lamented. "Last night was supposed to be a turning point in my live shows from the old to new! I will take full responsibility for the circumstances of what led to last night's show being everything it was and everything it wasn't."
"I also want to acknowledge that even though I prepared the best show for my fans, detail for detail, over the course of MONTHS... I was unfortunately not able to bring my vision to fruition," the Harlem native continued. "And I'm hurt about that and I want to apologize to all my fans and continued supporters, and thank y'all for showing up for me regardless!! A$AP4EVA."
According to TMZ, Rocky was supposed to hit the stage at 8:55 P.M. However, he was 45 minutes late as he showed up around 9:45 P.M. Luckily, Rocky managed to heat up the stage by performing nine tracks and bringing GloRilla and French Montana as his guests.
Rocky's apology statement was met with mixed reactions. While many were sympathetic to him, others blamed the rhymer for his irresponsibility. "Maybe don't waste 10 mins between each song next time and actually rap your verses on songs," one person wrote, while someone else replied, "Thank u and appreciate you but you're chronically late every single time."
Other people, meanwhile, asked him to drop a new album. One user in particular penned, "All good but maybe u could make it up to us by announcing the album [frowning face emoji]," Another commented, "don't care drop the album."
Rocky himself previously confirmed that he's "wrapping up the new album now." He said, "I've been shooting so many visuals for it... I don't want to be cliche or sound like a salesman, but I've pushed myself to the limit on everything. Going from that industrial, subversive sound from Testing and then graduating with a more polished sound…I just like where it is."
