'Satellite' is the latest single off the 24-year-old crooner's upcoming album, 'Everything Is Changing', following 'Skyline' and 'Last Call' that he released earlier this year.

AceShowbiz - Khalid is back with a new offering. The "Lovely" hitmaker released a new song called "Satellite" on Friday, September 23, which was accompanied by a futuristic music video.

Directed by Levi Turner, the visuals sees the 24-year-old musician singing about a newfound love who unfortunately drifts away "into the dark." He sings in his verse, "Saw the news/ Oh, what a sight, it left me so confused/ They're telling stories that you're leaving soon/ They'll never know what you've been going through."

"Shooting star/ I watch you drift away into the dark," the Right Hand Music Group and RCA Records artist continues. "Sometimes I sit and wonder where you are/ Sending me signals to my, sending me signals to my hollow heart."

Speaking about the peppy pop tune, Khalid said, " 'Satellite' is a visual portrait of my growth as a human being." He went on to elaborate, "And the self-love journey I have experienced in my life."

"Satellite" is the latest single off Khalid's upcoming album, "Everything Is Changing". He has already dropped "Skyline" and "Last Call". Last month, he teamed up with Lukas Graham for "Wish You Were Here" and in June, he reunited with Marshmello reunited for a new song called "Numb".

"Everything Is Changing" will follow Khalid's second studio album, "Free Spirit". Of the upcoming record, the "Young Dumb & Broke" crooner gushed in an interview with Billboard last year, "I love it dearly." He added, "I want to make sure it's everything I imagined, remain grounded and not rush to release it."

As for "Free Spirit, which arrived in 2019, the project debuted atop the U.S. Billboard 200 with 202,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. It marks the Georgia-born singer's first U.S. number-one album.
