The Baton Rogue rapper, born Stanley Wright, was found dead in the parking lot on Tuesday night, September 20 after what investigators believe was a gang-related killing.

AceShowbiz - Another hip-hop artist has fallen victim to a possible gang-related attack. Baton Rogue rapper Seven7Hardaway has passed away after he was gunned down on Tuesday night, September 20 in his hometown. He was only 33 years old.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office confirmed the victim, whose real name is Stanley Wright, was found dead in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Investigators believe the shooting, which happened around 8 P.M. at Sherwood Place Apartments, just off Coursey Boulevard, was a gang-related killing and that Hardway was specifically targeted in the attack. Police are yet to identify a suspect in the shooting.

According to WBRZ, armed assailants approached Hardway and shots rang off at a Baton Rouge apartment complex. When paramedics arrived, he lay motionless in the complex's parking lot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hardway is reportedly associated with the Top Boy Gorilla group, which has been entrenched in a vicious gang war around Louisiana. Reports say he was a known affiliate of rapper Fredo Bang as the Baton Rouge pair have collaborated in the past. He was also spotted hanging out with rapper Lit Yoshi.

Both Bang and Yoshi are believed to have ties to the Top Boy Gorilla group and have been linked to a violent ongoing feud that's resulted in multiple shootings. Earlier this year, Yoshi, whose real name is Mieyoshi Edwards, pleaded guilty for two separate gang-related shootings that happened in 2019 and 2020. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison as part of a plea deal.

As for Bang, he and his crew were involved in an altercation at The Mansion Cabaret in Fayetteville, North Carolina earlier this month. They fought with a man who was allegedly shouting "NBA", "BBG" and "4KT" during Bang's performance, but it's unclear if the rapper heard him. NBA is a reference to NBA YoungBoy a.k.a. YoungBoy Never Broke Again, 4KT stands for 4K Trey Gang and BBG means Bottom Boy Gorilla Gang.

Neither Bang nor Yoshi has publicly reacted to Hardway's death.
