AceShowbiz - Pete Davidson may use Kanye West as his inspiration for his look at the 2022 Emmy Awards. While attending the award-giving event on Monday, September 12, the "Saturday Night Live" alum dressed in a low-key outfit.
The 28-year-old comedian, who presented the award for Best Comedy Series to "Ted Lasso", opted for a gray Dickies' Eisenhower jacket with matching gray pants and white sunglasses. Fans might find the outfit similar to the one that Ye donned while attending the 2019 Met Gala with his then-wife Kim Kardashian.
At the annual charity event, the Yeezy designer wore the same jacket in black. Kim, meanwhile, turned heads with her wet-looking Thierry Mugler dress and waist-whittling corset at the "Camp"-themed Met Gala.
"The Kardashians" star's sexy look caused a tension between the former couple. In an episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians", Ye told Kim, "You are my wife, and it affects me when pictures are too sexy." To that, the SKIMS founder hit back, "You built me up to be this sexy person and confidence and all this stuff, and just because you're on a journey and transformation doesn't mean I'm in the same spot with you."
Kim also opted for a sultry look when she attended the Met Gala with Pete earlier this year. The reality TV star made headlines as she borrowed Marilyn Monroe's "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" dress for the night. The mom of four additionally bleached her hair platinum blond for the Met in an effort to fully channel the "Some Like It Hot" star, while "The King of Staten Island" actor looked dapper in a classic black suit.
Though they put up a loved-up appearance during the event, the pair decided to call it quits in August. Reports claim that the decision to split after dating for nine months was mutual, though a friend of Pete suggested that the comedian dumped Kim.
Kim, meanwhile, was previously called out by Ye over their kids' schooling. Earlier this month, the 45-year-old rapper wrote on his social media account, "You don't have say so of where the kids go to school. Why get say say. Cause you half white?" He later revealed that they had a "good meeting" with his ex-wife about their children's education. "Hi guys I'm baaaaack Sorry to take so long to post I just had a good meeting with Kim about the schools," so the "Famous" rapper wrote.
Kanye and Kim's children currently attend a leading private school in Los Angeles. The rapper, however, apparently wanted them to be transferred to his own newly opened Donda Academy, a Christian school he named after his late mother.
