AceShowbiz - It's Sheri Nicole Easterling's turn to steal the spotlight at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. Addison Rae's mom turned heads with her risque look at the Sunday, August 28 awards event, where she also made her red carpet debut as a couple with her new boyfriend Yung Gravy.
The 42-year-old social media personality and the 26-year-old rapper went color-coordinated with the former showing some skin in a laced-up lavender mini dress and metallic purple heels. The "Mr. Clean" rhymer, meanwhile, opted for a black suit on top of an unbuttoned light purple shirt.
The lovebirds showed PDA on the red carpet as they made out in between posing for pictures. At one point, Sheri leaned in to give Yung Gravy, whose real name is Matthew Raymond Hauri, a kiss on the cheek. Later that night, the two shared a smooch in front of photographers.
Speaking to reporters on the red carpet, Yung Gravy dished on their surprising romance. "We met online and we connected right away," he told MTV's Nessa Diab. In an interview with Page Six, he further divulged that they "Facetimed" a couple of times before meeting in person."
"I hit on her first, I knew of her and I thought she was fine," he shared, calling Sheri "MILF." The "Betty (Get Money)" emcee explained, "She's like a Southern belle and I'm a Northern boy so it felt really cute and wholesome," adding that he's "into MILFs and she's kinda the queen of MILFs."
Sheri and Yung Gravy's romance comes on the heels of her messy split from her husband and Addison's father Monty Lopez. Back in July, it was revealed that the 46-year-old TikTok star had a five-month affair with a 25-year-old influencer named Renee Ash.
Renee told Page Six Monty led her to believe that his relationship with Sheri was "over" when they were still together. "Unfortunately, he misled me on his marriage, he lied to me," so she claimed. "He told me a story of his marriage that convinced me that they were apart and in the process of getting a divorce."
Addressing her now-estranged husband's alleged infidelity, Sheri wrote in an Instagram Story at the time, "Personal matters being brought public are always challenging and overwhelming for anyone involved." The mother of three went on assuring, "I will be okay. My biggest concern is -and always will be- my children and their fragile hearts and minds. I will always do my best to protect them."
Later in the same month, Sheri and Yung Gravy began flirting online. He then said during an appearance on the "Jeff FM" podcast that they were "going on a date" soon. "I might wait until my New Orleans show. But we've talked - we keep in touch. I've texted a little bit every day," he spilled.
