Yunis Abbas, who spent nearly two years in prison for the infamous $10 million heist at a Paris hotel, admits he feels no guilt over the crime 'since she was throwing money away.'

AceShowbiz - One of the thieves who robbed Kim Kardashian in Paris blamed the star for the 2016 hotel heist. Speaking on the infamous $10 million robbery, Yunis Abbas insinuated that the SKIMS founder provoked the crime because of her "showy" attitude.

"They should be a little less showy towards people who can't afford it," Yunis said of Kim and other celebrities who flaunt their wealth online in an interview with VICE News published on Saturday, August 20. "For some people, it's provocative," he claimed.

The 60-something man admitted that he feels no guilt over the robbery. "Since she was throwing money away, I was there to collect it, and that was that. Guilty? No, I don't care," he shared. He recalled thinking of Kim, "She's got a lot of money. This lady doesn't care at all."

Yunis was released from prison after 22 months for health reasons apparently related to his heart issue. He said the gang, consisting mostly of man over 60s who were dubbed "grandpa robbers" by social media, used the Internet to track down Kim and rob her after he noticed her flashing her jewels on her social media accounts.

Recounting the heist, Yunis said that he waited downstairs while his co-conspirators robbed Kim in her suit. He noted that the group had caught two lucky breaks. "Madame Kardashian's secretary called for help. But she called 911 in the United States, which scared us, which made them lose a lot of time," he said. "And when we got out, there was a bunch of police outside who didn’t know anything about the robbery."

As Kim has spoken up on the effect the robbery has had on her mental health, Yunis acknowledged the trauma caused by the heist. "You don't come out of it unscathed," he told the news outlet, adding, "Of course she must have been traumatized."

Yunis has published a memoir of the crime called "I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian". According to French media, he has been in and out of jail on various crimes for decades and previously said he robbed Kim because he was short on cash.
