The Washington D.C.-based rapper is charged with multiple felonies after surrendering himself to police in June for his involvement in a shoot-out with rival gang members.

AceShowbiz - No Savage could be spending the next few decades of his life behind bars. The rapper is facing a serious jail time following his alleged involvement in a Washington D.C. mall shooting back in June.
On Monday, August 15, Fairfax County General District Court Judge Todd Zinicola found probable cause to send multiple charges against the 22-year-old to a judge. Those charges include three counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied building, attempted malicious wounding and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He faces up to 43 years in prison if convicted on all counts.
"People need to know you cannot come into Fairfax County and shoot up a mall and expect to walk out with anything but a very stiff prison sentence," Fairfax County Commonwealth's Attorney Steve Descano said during the preliminary hearing on Monday.
He added, "We also cannot grow complacent when gun violence has become so prevalent that simply going to the mall may feel to some like an act of defiance. Prosecutors like me work very hard every day to get guns off the streets but we need more tools. I will continue to demand as much from lawmakers at all levels."
No Savage's lawyer and members of his family argued against the felony classification of "malicious" in his charges. His lawyer wanted it to be downgraded to "reckless" discharge of a firearm, which is a misdemeanor in Virginia, according to WTOP.
The lawyer for the suspect, whose real name is Noah Settles, claimed that the rapper acted in self-defense. "They also proved two other people had weapons that day," No Savage's father Anthony Royal argued. "They just don't have them in custody."
No Savage and his entourage were involved in an altercation at the Tysons Corner Center mall in Northern Virginia on June 18. They allegedly came across members of rival gang Simple City Crew that also hails from Southeast D.C. and they had been feuding with.
The two crews began arguing and briefly pushing and shoving each other, before No Savage pulled out a gun and fired off three shots in the mall. No one was injured in the shooting but police said three people were treated for injuries that happened while the mall was being evacuated.
When police arrived on the scene, the suspect had already fled the mall. No Savage later turned himself over to Fairfax County Police on June 22. He remains held without bond.
