AceShowbiz - Drake is seemingly taking a page from his father on how to honor a loved one. The Canadian superstar has paid tribute to his mother Sandi Graham by getting a new tattoo of her initials on his face.
The 35-year-old, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, unveiled the new ink via Instagram on Thursday, August 11. He posted a close-up look at the tiny art which is located right below his left eye. "Sandra Gale," he simply captioned it, adding a red heart emoji.
While this isn't Drake's first tattoo, surprisingly many were left unimpressed with the latest artwork on his face. "When you wanna get a face tattoo but you actually don't so you get them small enough to look like freckles...," one person mocked the tiny tattoo.
Another claimed that Drizzy got the ink because "he's bored..." A third opined that the tattoo isn't a proper tribute to a mother, saying, "PSA men, your mama dont want her name or initials on the face she spent 10 months crafting get moms some flowers and a car maybe."
Some others think that Drake ruined his face with the tattoo. "Anything but your face Drake please," one fan pleaded. Another exclaimed, "Noooooooooo," while someone else weighed in, "I'm a drake fan but he literally has the worst tattoos in the industry. Always poor planing on placement."
Interestingly, Drake got the new tattoo just days after he roasted his father Dennis Graham over his failed tattoo of the rapper's face. Dennis initially got tattoo artist Money Mike inked Drizzy's face circa "Thank Me Later" era on his arm in 2014.
In 2018, Dennis hired tattoo master Inal Bersekov to redo and fix it. However, the touch-up didn't do the initial work any justice. Weighing in on it, Drake wrote, "I was just sitting here thinking why you do me like this we family," along with several laughing with tears emojis.
