AceShowbiz - Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson want nothing but the best for their baby No. 2. "The Kardashians" star and the NBA player came to a custody agreement for their newborn baby.
A source close to the former couple told HollywoodLife.com, "Khloe and Tristan have agreed that Khloe will have sole legal and physical custody of their baby full time. However, Tristan is so excited to have welcomed a son because he really wanted another boy."
"Even though Khloe will have full custody of the baby, she's more than happy for Tristan to be present in their child's life as much as he wants," the so-called insider further explained. "Tristan already has such a close bond with True and he loves seeing how excited she is to have become a big sister."
The informant also weighed in on Tristan being spotted hanging out with his and Khloe's daughter True Thompson on the very same day when his baby No. 2 was being born. "Tristan and Khloe decided it would be better to have Khloe be there in the hospital while the surrogate was giving birth, and to have Tristan be back home looking after True," said the source.
The insider also highlighted that "Khloe isn't worried whether or not Tristan decides to be there for his baby" as she "has a village of support around her." The informant continued, "But Tristan has definitely taken an interest in being a very present father to his son and couldn't be happier for the baby."
A separate source shared an update on Khloe and Tristan's co-parenting relationship, saying, "Tristan is taking every chance Khloe gives him to bond with the baby, he's a very proud dad." It's also said that the basketball star "has been trying his best to convince Khloe she should forgive him and they should just be a happy little family like they planned."
Though so, "Khloe is keeping very firm boundaries." The Good American founder reportedly is "very clear that she wants Tristan there for the kids and that's it, end of story." The source added, "And the good news is that he really has stepped up, he's been spending a ton of time with True which is so good for her."
Khloe and Tristan welcomed their second baby on August 5. "Khloe is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing," a rep for the 38-year-old reality star told Page Six at the time. "We'd like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloe can focus on her family."
The embryo was implanted into a surrogate in November 2021, but by December words got out that Tristan had secretly fathered a child, a son named Theo, with another woman, Maralee Nichols.
