AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles was publicly called out by fellow musician Kelis. The "Crazy in Love" hitmaker made the latter upset for featuring a sample of her 1999 single "Get Along With You" in her new album, "Renaissance".
The 42-year-old voiced her frustration after her fan page shared a post about the news on Instagram. "@Beyonce's RENAISSANCE album will include a @kelis sample on the song 'Energy'," so read the caption.
Catching wind of the snaps, Kelis wrote in the comment section, "My mind is blown too because the level of disrespect and utter ignorance of all 3 parties involved is astounding." She added, "I heard about this the same way everyone else did."
"Nothing is ever as it seems," the ex-wife of rapper Nas went on fuming. "Some of the people in this business have no soul or integrity and they have everyone fooled."
Beyonce has yet to respond to Kelis' statement. However, the 28-time Grammy winner seemingly had another issue regarding "Renaissance". It was previously reported that the record prematurely arrived two days before its scheduled release at midnight E.T. on Thursday, July 28.
The news of the album leak apparently came from a French fan, who shared on Wednesday morning that physical copies of "Renaissance" have been available for sale in France. "The new @Beyonce album already for sale in France? 2 days prior to the release date," the said fan tweeted.
Variety later confirmed that it's able to find "high-quality flac files that certainly sound like the album within a matter of minutes." While reps for Beyonce and the album's distributor Columbia Records did not immediately respond to the album leak, Beyhive has taken to social media to express their mixed feelings about it.
"I will not leak it. She worked on it for months and it's not for me to ruin it," one fan reacted to the news. Another slammed those who leaked the album, "Y'all weirdos for trying to leak the album." A third echoed the sentiment as tweeting, "Y'll think y'all cute tryna leak & spread Beyonce's album but... she's gonna get y'all & THE STORES that sold it to y'all."
"Renaissance" is Beyonce's seventh studio album, following up "Lemonade". Aside from "Energy", it features "I'm That Girl", "Cozy", "Alien Superstar", "Cuff It", "Church Girl", "Plastic Off the Sofa", "Virgo's Groove", "Move", "Heated", "Thique", "All Up in Your Mind", "America Has a Problem", "Pure/Honey", "Summer Renaissance" as well as "Break My Soul", which arrived last month.
