The 27-year-old '16 and Pregnant' alum shares that following her breakup with Josh, whom she married in 2009, she's now 'stepping into an entire new life and new me.'

AceShowbiz - "Teen Mom" star Mackenzie McKee and husband Josh McKee are calling it quits. In an Instagram post on Tuesday, July 26, the reality TV star got candid about her decision to end things with Josh for the second time after 12 years together.
"With all the messages I'm receiving and articles coming out, I wanted you guys to hear what's going on from me alone," Mackenzie penned alongside two images of the former couple. "Somtirmes [sic] things work and sometimes, no matter how hard you fight, it just doesn't work out. I am breaking my silence about Josh and I being done."
Concluding her caption, the 27-year-old TV personality said, "I will always respect him as the father of my children but it's time for me to find my happy."
Speaking with Celeb Buzz, Mackenzie shared that she was "stepping into an entire new life and new me" following the split. The "16 and Pregnant" alum went on to divulge, "I'm so thankful for the past 12 years with Josh and what they taught me. Josh and I are both still young with an entire life ahead of us."
The star, who shares Gannon Dewayne (10), Jaxie Taylor (8) and Broncs Weston (5) with Josh, noted that she wishes "nothing but peace and happiness for him and his future." She continued, "Everyone has their own story, and this is mine. The old me would have released a story about how awful Josh is, what he did and why this marriage is ending. The new me understands that we are both walking away from this with deep scars and our kids love us both despite the pain we brought one another."
"We are human, we are all human on this earth just trying to make it," she added, "When that switch happened, when I knew I was going to leave, my entire world changed. I wasn't sad, I wasn't sad about anything, I wasn't angry, I wasn't depressed. I gained my power back as a female who finally knows her self worth." She concluded, "I was finally so exhausted that I was done, and anything that has hurt me these past 5 years was gone. I no longer care."
As they started dating in 2009, the pair tied the knot in 2013. However, they broke up in August of the same year after Mackenzie accused Josh of cheating on her with her cousin following her mother's passing. She wrote in a now-deleted tweet, "It's true," while attaching an article link titled, "Mackenzie McKee: I Caught My Husband Banging My Cousin! Our Marriage is OVER!"
The split didn't last forever since they reunited shortly after with Josh re-proposing to her in October 2019. "We found our way back to each other even when we thought it was impossible," Mackenzie shared with PEOPLE at the time. "I fell in love with a new man."
