The 28-year-old 'Saturday Night Live' alum, who is currently dating Kim Kardashian, reveals on 'Hart to Heart' that being a father is like his 'dream.'

AceShowbiz - Being a father is definitely something that Pete Davidson wants to do in his life. In a sneak peek clip of his appearance in Peacock's "Hart to Heart" season 2, the "Saturday Night Live" alum talks about his dream of having kids of his own.

"My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid," the comedian, who is currently dating Kim Kardashian, tells host Kevin Hart. "That's like my dream."

The 28-year-old also says that he's excited to get to "that chapter" of life. He explains, "That's kind of what I'm just preparing for now, is trying to be as good as a dude and develop and get better, so when that happens, it's just easier."

Pete's passion of being a father is bittersweet as he lost his dad, Scott Davidson, at a very young age on the 9/11 tragedy. "My childhood was not great," he shares. "Dad passed early, single mom [Amy Waters Davidson], new sister [Casey Davidson] just did not handle it great-my sister was like 2, 3 years old. So, it was just like a f**king nightmare."

Despite the painful childhood, Pete manages to turn his pain into laughs through stand-up comedy. "I'm like, 'If my childhood was fine, I'd probably be a construction worker in Staten Island and be the happiest guy ever,' " Pete opens up to Kevin. "But that weird s**t that it does to you made me love comedy."

While it remains to be seen if he's planning to have kids with Kim, the comedian has been getting some parenting practice thanks to the reality TV star and Kanye West's kids, North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm West.

Kim previously shared that even though she and Pete started dating in October 2021, her kids didn't meet him until six months later. "I definitely wanted to wait six months and that was the marker," "The Kardashians" star told "Today" hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie in June about introducing her kids to her new boyfriend.

She went on to say, "It's different for everyone and different things work for different people. But you just have to do what feels right and try to just be as respectful and cautious as possible."
