In the visuals, the 36-year-old singer/songwriter cosplays as a cheerleader as she dances among Winston-Salem State University's famous Powerhouse squad.

AceShowbiz - Ciara is back with new music. For the first time in two years, the Texas-born songstress treated fans to a new single called "Jump" featuring Coast Contra as well as its booty-filled music video.

Directed by Dave Meyers, the clip opens with Ciara cosplaying as a cheerleader as she dances among Winston-Salem State University's famous Powerhouse squad. As the footage transitions, the 36-year-old continues showing off her twerking skills in various places like a parking lot, power lines, roofs, a beach, and a moving train.

"Turn down the light/ I can turn it on, here to turn you on, baby/ Tonight's the night," the wife of Russell Wilson sings in the pre-chorus. "You see me perform, yeah, we taking off, baby."

Coast Contra also make brief appearances in the footage. Members of the hip-hop group deliver their fiery bars while being surrounded by their pals under the highways.

"Jump" serves as Ciara's first new music since 2020, following her 2019 album "Beauty Marks". The track arrived more than a week after the singer announced that she has signed a new label deal with Republic Records and Uptown Records. In a statement to the press, she said, "I am thrilled to partner with Uptown/Republic Records through my own label imprint Beauty Marks Entertainment."

"[Republic co-president] Wendy [Goldstein] and I have been in discussion to work together for some time and the enthusiasm that her and the entire team have expressed over this new project marks an exciting new chapter in my career," she continued. "I am grateful to be able to continue my mission of making the world dance with a team I admire, who are at the forefront of empowering artists."

Wendy then added, "I've been a fan of Ciara forever… Working with her has been a dream, and she's making some of the most powerful, undeniable, and innovative music of her entire career now. This is an incredible creative chapter for her, and we're all excited to be part of it."
